Welcome to the Second Semester 2025/2026 Academic Year.
Second Semester of 2025/2026 commenced on Monday, 15th February for YR2, YR3 and YR4 respectively and Monday, 9th March 2026 for all Y1 students EXCEPT those in the School of Health Sciences and all postgraduate students.
Students are advised:
1. To complete online registration of courses for blended learning through the Learning Management System student account on or before Friday, 3rd April 2026.
2. Attend ALL online/virtual classes as scheduled on the Learning Management System (LMS).
3. Attend ALL face-to-face classes and practical sessions as scheduled (where applicable);
4. Access ALL learning resources (lecture notes, videos, among others) uploaded on the LMS;
5. Attend to ALL online CATs and Assignments uploaded on the LMS as scheduled.
6. Observe the online behavior while in class (See attached file for your reference).
7. Access the LMS for announcements from time to time (at least twice a day).
8. Take note that the mode of teaching and learning is blended.
9. Consult the ODEL team physically or electronically via (odel@karu.ac.ke) in case of any challenges related to the LMS.
Lecturers;
1. To administer Continuous Assessment Tests as follows:
ü ü For Year 2, Year 3, and Year 4
First Continuous Assessment Test: between Monday, 9th March 2026 to Friday, 27th March 25, 2026.
Second Continuous Assessment Test: between Monday, 6th April 2026 to Friday, 24th April 2026.
ü Year 1 and Postgraduate Students:
Continuous Assessment Tests are scheduled to be administered as follows:
First Continuous Assessment Test: between 30th March, 2026 to 17th April, 2026 ( 4th to 6th Week).
Second Continuous Assessment Test: between 27th April, 2026 to 15th May, 2026 (8th to 10th week)
